He further honed his skills as a subcontractor, working on projects across Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee. This experience instilled in him a deep understanding of diverse flooring needs and a commitment to exceptional workmanship.
A life-changing family trip to Utah ignited a spark in Miguel. Captivated by the state’s breathtaking landscapes, he knew it was time to put down roots in a place that resonated with him. In 2018, he made the move to North Salt Lake, Utah. While initially finding work as a subcontractor at big-box stores, Miguel’s entrepreneurial spirit yearned for a venture of his own.
Thus, S-mart Floors, the foundation of what is now EZ Flooring, was born. Since then, we’ve grown into a trusted flooring solutions provider in Northern Utah, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations.

Our journey start back in 2012 in Marietta, Georgia. Miguel start working as a flooring contractor’s helper. After a year of hard work, Miguel learned the flooring trade and became a crew leader, taking over most of the contractor’s projects. Later Miguel became his own subcontractor and did work for important flooring companies across Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Tennessee.
Years later while on a family trip to Utah, Miguel and his family fell in love with the beautifully scenic landscape of Utah, from desert to mountains. He made the decision to permanently move to North Salt Lake in 2018. Miguel rapidly found work as a subcontractor at big box stores but ultimately wanted to create something of his own. That is how S-mart floors was born, which has then become EZ Flooring. Since then, we have been providing the best quality flooring services in all of northern Utah.
